CHARACTERS

YO-YO – Male.  Surfer guy; fun-loving, a little dim, hunky, and less macho than the other guys. Has a secret that he might not even know about (hint: he’s gay).

NICKY – Male. Lovable surfer guy: goofy and fun, but a little bit of a troublemaker too.

PROVOLONEY – Male. Surfer guy; a little cocky and girl hungry. Wants to be a big-shot Hollywood type, he’s best friends with Yo-Yo.

 STAR CAT – Male. The most handsome of the surfers, horny, a little cerebral, muscular.

CHICKLET - This role is for a male actor in female drag, needs to be believable as a 15-year-old tomboy (perky, awkward) and has alter ego Ann Bowman (sexy, dangerous, dominatrix).

KANAKA – Male Older than the rest of the beach gang, their idol; the quintessential “cool guy” muscular, surf legend.

 BERDINE – Female. Chicklet's long-time best friend; nerdy, rational, prude; big reader and journals frequently. Something like Velma from Scooby Doo.

 MARVEL ANN – This is a role for a male actor in female drag. Typical Mean-Girl type; bitchy and “friends” with Chicklet and Berdine, she’s the sexiest and most popular girl in high school.

 MRS. FORREST – Chicklet’s mother, think Faye Dunaway in Mommie Dearest (movie) (aka Joan Crawford). Stern, strict, takes no shit.

BETTINA BARNES -Female. Glamourous, Temu version of Marilyn Monroe. Hiding out at the beach

DEE DEE  -  Female. beach bunny, terrific dancer
