About the Class

This 6-week course will bring you ease in picking up choreography for musical theatre dance. As an adults only class, you will be surrounded by like-minded individuals who want to hone in on their craft, as well as for those who just want to get the body moving and maintain health and wellness. Dana Hawkins is a life-long triple threat who will be teaching combinations weekly, while instilling confidence, and raising awareness of your instrument with technique, style, and most importantly, fitness!

Register for $120 to attend 1x a week, $220 to attend 2x a week. Or, you can drop-in for $25 per class if space is available.

About the Instructor

The P stands for passionate.  Dana began her dance journey in third grade(8 years old) at Whitney E. Houston Academy of Creative and Performing Arts.  She was accepted into The Dance Academy and fell in love with being on stage.  Performing for celebrities like Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross and Naughty by Nature, to name a few, she knew performing was her gateway to success.  In high school, Dana began training as a technical dancer.  Efficient in all genres, Dana’s heart is modern.  She saw Broadway’s The Lion King, and immediately knew where she belonged: in musical theatre.  After college, Dana hit the ground running going to audition after audition making a name for herself, and has been successful thus far.  Dana has performed for celebrities, at amusements parks, choreographed for colleges, choreographed competition winning pieces, has several students in one of New York’s top dance companies and still continues to share her love and passion through dance.  Dana is a resident choreographer at interACT Theatre Productions, having choreographed two of their benefit fundraisers their last season’s production of Sister Act and the upcoming Legally Blonde: The Musical.
